Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cardiovascular ICU RN for a night shift contract requiring hands-on CRRT and IABP management skills.

Details

• Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) setting managing high-acuity cardiac surgery, cardiogenic shock, and post-cardiac intervention patients
• Night shift schedule: 7p-7a, 3x12 (36 hours/week)
• Weekend and holiday rotation required

Requirements

• Active RN license (KY or compact) required
• Recent ICU experience required, ideally in a cardiac/CVICU or high-acuity surgical ICU setting
• Direct hands-on CRRT management experience required (setup, monitoring, troubleshooting)
• Direct hands-on IABP management experience required (waveform monitoring, site care, troubleshooting)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CCRN certification preferred
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Experience with other mechanical circulatory support (Impella, ECMO) preferred
• Cardiac surgery post-op recovery experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including comprehensive assessments, care planning, and treatment implementation for high-acuity cardiac ICU patients
• Facilitate patient admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with case management
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and support throughout the care process
• Delegate and oversee patient care tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary care team to support a holistic, healing-focused environment
