Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift acute-care hospital position requiring ICU and ER critical care experience.

Details

• Acute-care hospital with 266 beds offering emergency, bariatric, behavioral health, cancer, cardiac, orthopedic, and surgical services
• Respiratory Therapy department covering all inpatient units including two 10-bed ICUs
• Uses Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, Phillips V60+, Siemens EPOC bedside ABG analyzers, and Bipaps
• Documentation via Meditech
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Minimum of three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends
• Floats throughout all inpatient units

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in critical care/emergency care
• ICU and ER experience required, including adult critical care with weekend rotations
• Experience with Level II NICU and pediatric patients within scope
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• License required if applicable
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform aerosol treatments, Bipap management, and ventilator management
• Participate in daily nursing unit rounding and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams
• RT staff perform advanced procedures such as intubation, arterial line insertion, and bedside bronchoscopy assist
• Join a 30-member RT team with varying levels of experience across all departments
• Scrubs required as uniform
• Must use AIDET for patient experience standards
• Local candidates not accepted; 50-mile radius rule applies
