Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring 2 years of acute PACU experience and an active IN or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital setting
- 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Scheduled for 3 days per week, totaling 36 hours weekly
- Call requirement of 5 days within an eight-week schedule period
- Scheduled weekend approximately every 10 weeks, beginning Friday at 5:00 PM through Monday at 6:00 AM
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active RN license (IN or compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum of 2 years acute care PACU RN experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating patient plans of care
- Provides patient and family education specific to care, treatment, and discharge needs
- Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and functions as a mentor/preceptor
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support patient and family needs
- Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts
- Complies with regulatory standards and organizational practice governance model
