Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of specialty experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Med Surg 3 unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need
• May be required to take on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic EMR for charting

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required, must not expire prior to start
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification required as appropriate for the unit or service
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med Surg/Telemetry nursing required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Date of birth and last four digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
• Evaluate health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data
• Provide patient and family health teaching and counseling
• Deliver therapy and treatment supportive and restorative to patient well-being, directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Returning employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before becoming eligible for a travel assignment
