Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of specialty experience and a CO or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Med Surg 3 unit of a hospital setting
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need
- May be required to take on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association required, must not expire prior to start
- ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification required as appropriate for the unit or service
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Med Surg/Telemetry nursing required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Epic EMR charting experience required
- Date of birth and last four digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
- Evaluate health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data
- Provide patient and family health teaching and counseling
- Deliver therapy and treatment supportive and restorative to patient well-being, directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others
- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
- Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Returning employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before becoming eligible for a travel assignment
