Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level 2 trauma acute care setting, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT certification.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting within a Level 2 trauma center
- CT department with 3 CT rooms equipped with Siemens CT scanners
- Patient population includes adults, geriatrics, and some pediatric patients through the ER
- Performs CT biopsies, drains, aspirations, cryoablations, cervical injections, stroke angio studies with 3rd party processing, and CTA coronary studies
- Uses EPIC EMR and McKesson PACS system
- Mixed 9, 10, and 12 hour shifts with cyclic scheduling and varying start times
- May float to X-ray on overnight shifts or MRI on day shifts
- Weekend rotation is every 4th weekend for day shift and every other weekend for overnight shift
- Requires coverage of 2 holidays per year
- Weekend call required once every 6 weeks
- Weeknight call required 3-4 nights per month when fully staffed, potentially more if short-staffed
- Approximately 3 days of unit-specific orientation provided
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist required
- Current ARRT (CT) and BLS certification required
- State licensure required if applicable
- X-ray and MRI experience preferred for day shift
- CT and X-ray experience required for night shift
- Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
- Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas

- Fast-paced department requiring strong patient care skills, self-motivation, accountability, and adaptability
- Compassion and a willingness to accept challenges are key attributes for success in this role
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Candidates may not currently or recently be employed full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI or Dignity Health
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be requested upfront for the 13-week contract; additional RTO will not be approved after submission
