Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week evening shift assignment requiring 2+ years of OR experience and surgical/robotics knowledge.

Details

• Acute care Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Surgical center performs preop and same-day and overnight stay procedures across 15 suites
• Handles approximately 55-70 cases per day
• Uses Sunrise EMR with an upcoming EPIC go-live in April
• 4 shifts per week of 10-hour evening shifts (12p-10pm)
• Weekday only schedule with no weekends or holidays required for this shift pattern
• No blocked scheduling available
• Floating required to the OR holding area

Requirements

• Active WV or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Strong IV skills required
• Surgical care knowledge and robotics experience required
• Scrubbing required for preop care only
• BSN not required for this position

Additional Information

• Provide direct preoperative care to surgical patients in a hospital-based surgical center (not a freestanding facility)
• Unit and department-specific orientation provided for the surgical center/preop area
• Scrubs provided by the facility
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Former WVU Medicine travelers must complete a 2-year break before reapplying
• Travelers may not work within the WVU system for longer than one year without taking a 2-year break
