Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position at a Level 3 trauma teaching hospital requiring 2 years of specialty experience.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care, teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation
• General ED setting treating combined adult and pediatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
• Required to work every third weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required within scope of practice
• Uses Epic (Excellian) EMR

Requirements

• Active or pending MN RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: ENPC, SANE
• Experience with care of ventilated patients preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, 12-lead EKG/ECG, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and triage
• ICU experience preferred
• Experience with ED boarding preferred
• Must submit date of birth, SSN, certification copies, Nursys verification, and RTO at time of consideration
• At least one supervisor reference required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include emergency response, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and patient triage in a fast-paced ED environment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be considered for this position
• Candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital if needed
• RTO requests should ideally not exceed 5 days during the assignment
• Previous perm staff or per diem employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 3 months to be eligible
• Pre-start modules are required prior to beginning the assignment
