Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position at a Level 3 trauma teaching hospital requiring 2 years of specialty experience.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care, teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation
- General ED setting treating combined adult and pediatric patients
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
- Required to work every third weekend
- No on-call responsibilities
- No floating required within scope of practice
- Uses Epic (Excellian) EMR
Requirements
- Active or pending MN RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC
- Preferred certifications: ENPC, SANE
- Experience with care of ventilated patients preferred
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, 12-lead EKG/ECG, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and triage
- ICU experience preferred
- Experience with ED boarding preferred
- Must submit date of birth, SSN, certification copies, Nursys verification, and RTO at time of consideration
- At least one supervisor reference required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include emergency response, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and patient triage in a fast-paced ED environment
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be considered for this position
- Candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital if needed
- RTO requests should ideally not exceed 5 days during the assignment
- Previous perm staff or per diem employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 3 months to be eligible
- Pre-start modules are required prior to beginning the assignment
