Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring WA/compact RN licensure and NRP/FHM certification for a night shift assignment.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule of 1900-0730, three 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
- 30-minute meal break included per shift
- No on-call responsibilities
- Required to float as a sitter and may float in rotation to other units
Requirements
- Active WA State or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS, NRP, and FHM certifications required
- Must adhere to facility policies and unit-specific standards of practice
- Must comply with the Washington Nurse Practice Act and stay current on relevant legal aspects of nursing
Additional Information
- Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process and unit standards
- Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
- Conduct holistic ongoing patient assessments and respond appropriately to changes in status
- Evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness and update educational needs as necessary
- Accurately document care provided, assessments, interventions, and patient responses
- Educate patients and families on relevant health information in a timely manner
- Delegate and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team
- Participate in performance evaluation and improvement processes with clinical leadership
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with hospital policies
