Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift assignment requiring ARRT certification and Washington State radiologic technologist registration in X-Ray and CT.
Details
- Hospital-based CT Scanning Services department
- Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
- Shift hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 30-minute meal break included
- Uses Shimadzu portable equipment, Rad Speed Pro, GE/OEC C-arms, and Toshiba CT scanner
- OR experience required for C-arm use
- Utilizes EPIC EMR system
- Will be required to take call
Requirements
- ARRT certification required
- Washington State certification as a registered radiologic technologist in X-Ray and CT required
- BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Experience with Shimadzu portable equipment, Rad Speed Pro, GE/OEC C-arms, and Toshiba CT scanner required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Ability to safely lift and transfer patients using proper ergonomic technique and safe patient handling devices
Additional Information
- Prepare for and perform CT examinations while operating equipment safely
- Evaluate diagnostic images for technical quality
- Develop, initiate, and monitor procedures for effective scanner utilization
- Maintain cleanliness of scanner and associated equipment in accordance with infection control policies
- Perform IV access using sterile technique and administer contrast media under physician supervision
- Follow universal blood and body substance precautions and use personal protective equipment as required
- Comply with continuing education requirements as dictated by regulatory entities
- Complete required documentation for each examination performed using the EMR
- Communicate with patients' family members or caregivers as necessary
