Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of OR experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Work in the Surgical Services department of a hospital setting
- Perform circulating and/or scrub duties across multiple surgical specialties including hysterectomy, gynecologic, total joints, general, bariatric, DaVinci robotic, ENT, thoracic, neuro spine, and plastics procedures
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Day shift schedule from 6:30am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday, with no weekends
- On-call requirement of up to 40 hours on a 6-week rotating schedule
Requirements
- Active RN license (KY or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience across multiple surgical specialties including hysterectomy, gynecologic, total joints, general, bariatric, DaVinci robotic, ENT, thoracic, neuro spine, and plastics
Additional Information
- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care throughout the surgical process
- Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel while functioning as a mentor and preceptor
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support quality outcomes
- Facilitate patient and family education specific to surgical care and discharge planning
- Participate in quality, safety, and service process improvement initiatives
- Comply with regulatory standards and organizational practice governance model
