Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a night shift contract requiring an active KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

• Hospital-based Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
• Night shift schedule of 3x12s, 7p-7a
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts
• Weekend and holiday rotation required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety devices

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and nursing rounds
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and care coordination
• Collaborate with an inter-professional healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Delegate and oversee patient care tasks performed by other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures tracking
• Promote a healing, patient-centered environment aligned with evidence-based nursing practice
