Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a compact or OK RN license and night shift availability.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
• Care for expectant mothers and newborns before, during, and immediately after childbirth
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and manage pain, including epidurals
• Assist with vaginal or surgical deliveries and educate families on postpartum recovery
• 13-week assignment on a night shift schedule from 18:30-07:00
• Up to 6 weekend shifts required as needed per department needs
• Holiday coverage required as needed per department needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or OK) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• NRP certification (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics) preferred
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

Additional Information

• Implement and monitor patient care plans while recording and communicating patient condition
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and assess discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate that varies by state
