Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Telemetry with 2+ years of acute inpatient tele experience and a KY or compact RN license for a Med-Surg/PCU unit.
Details
- Hospital-based Med-Surg/PCU mixed acuity unit with 9-14 beds
- Patient ratio of 4-5:1
- RN reads telemetry and titrates limited medications such as heparin
- General med/surg diagnoses with mixed acuity patients
- Uses Epic EMR
- Performs skills including EKG, trach care, PCA, wound vac, and feeding tubes as needed
- Day shift schedule from 6:45am-7:15pm
- Works every other weekend
- Three 12-hour shifts per week totaling 36 hours
Requirements
- Active RN license (KY or Compact) required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 2 years acute inpatient telemetry RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
Additional Information
- Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans
- Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Provides patient and family education throughout treatment and at discharge
- Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and serves as a mentor/preceptor
- Participates in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
- Works within a supportive team environment described as having helpful peers
- Complies with regulatory standards and organizational practice governance model
