Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Pediatric Surgery position at a Level 1 Trauma pediatric facility, requiring 2+ years of OR experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Pediatric Surgery unit within a Trauma Level 1 pediatric facility
• 14 operating rooms plus 2 procedure rooms
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Night shift schedule, working Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 18:30-07:00
• 13-16 week contract length

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Coordinate care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support efficient surgical workflows and communication
• Perform circulating nurse duties including monitoring patient status and documenting care in the EHR
• Provide scrub nurse support including maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and assisting surgeons
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location
