Description
American Traveler is seeking an ICU RN with an active MA license and at least 3 years of ICU experience for a night shift assignment.
Details
- ICU unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
- 36 hours per week schedule
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days
- Any missed shifts (call outs) must be made up at the end of the assignment
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required, must be in hand
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- CCRN, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications preferred
- Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required, 5+ years in a Level 1 Trauma facility preferred
- Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
- Experience with respiratory/thoracic care and ventilated patients required
- Neurological care experience required, ICP monitoring experience preferred
- Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- No prior travel nursing experience required
- Two professional references required, at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
- Candidates with prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license will not be considered
Additional Information
- Must pass a medication exam and a telemetry exam during orientation, each with only one attempt allowed; failure results in immediate contract cancellation
- Study materials will be provided during the compliance process and facility-directed interviews
- Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system before reapplying
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 200-mile radius
- First-time travelers with sufficient ICU experience may be considered
