Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring ICU experience, Cerner proficiency, and a DC RN license.
Details
- Multidisciplinary ICU providing care for neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients
- Utilizes advanced critical care technology including ventilators, ventriculostomies, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, CRRT, gastric tubes, and IV infusion pumps
- 3x12-hour night shifts on the Cardiac Care Unit
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active RN license in DC required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA only)
- Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
- Minimum 3 years of Cerner EMR experience required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- BSN highly desired
- At least 2 years of prior work experience in a US hospital within the specialty area required
- Two manager or supervisor references required, verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
Additional Information
- Perform a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements
- Provide care to critically ill patients using a wide range of specialized equipment and technology
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
