Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring an active Alaska RN license and prior circulator experience in a high-acuity surgical setting.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital with 11 ORs located on the 2nd floor of the main hospital building
- Patient ratio of 1:1
- Uses a variety of OR beds and equipment, including Xi Robotic surgical systems
- Epic EMR is used
- Schedule consists of three twelve-hour shifts, with weekend availability preferred
- On-call is required, averaging 5-6 weekday call shifts and 1 weekend call shift per 8-week sign-up period
- No floating required
Requirements
- Active Alaska RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Experience in Ortho, Total Joints, Neuro, and Robotics surgical procedures required
- Experience as a circulator required
- Experience as a Scrub preferred
- CNOR certification preferred
Additional Information
- Serve as a patient advocate in the circulator role while acting as a resource for the sterile field
- Typical procedures include Total Joints, multi-level spine fusions, and a variety of Xi Robotic cases (GYN, Colorectal, General)
- Minimal ENT, Dental, Eye, or Plastics procedures performed on this unit
- Day shift team typically includes an average of 8 RNs, 8 Scrub Techs, and 5 Surgical Support Techs
- Night shift is staffed by one charge RN and one scrub tech in-house with call team backup
- Facility provides scrubs
- Ideal candidates have a positive outlook and work well with team members
- Local candidates are not accepted; a 50-mile radius rule applies with no exceptions
