Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring a PA or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

• Acute care setting on a 33-bed Med/Surg unit with 16 telemetry monitors
• Patient population includes ortho (total knee and hip replacement), bariatric (gastric sleeve and gastrectomy), CHF, COPD, TIA, and cardiac cath intervention patients
• Maintains approximately a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Uses MEDITECH EMR
• Night shift schedule, 7pm-7am, 12-hour shifts
• Weekends and holidays required as needed
• Block scheduling available for traveling nurses
• CCU staff and supervisors available each shift to assist with monitor strip readings

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS preferred but not required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• BSN not required
• COVID vaccine required

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit with a diverse case mix
• Scrub color is not specified and scrubs are not provided
• Cancellation policy allows for 2 shifts for the duration of the contract
