Description

American Traveler is hiring an OR RN for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 2+ years of OR experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting in a 9-suite Operating Room, including one suite dedicated to cardiac cases
• Handles approximately 25-30 cases per day
• Common procedures include ortho totals, ortho trauma, Mako robot cases, fractures, neuro, ortho spine, general, GYN, ENT, urology, and DaVinci robotics
• Patient population is typically older than 15 years, including trauma cases such as MVCs, rock climbing, and bicycle injuries
• Evening shift schedule working Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 1100-2330
• 12-hour shifts with scheduling based on facility needs at time of interview/contract (8s, 10s, or 12s starting at 0645, with 10s preferred)
• Uses Epic EMR, with training available during onboarding if needed
• OR techs and a charge nurse are present on each shift; charge nurse does not typically carry a caseload during normal hours but may during evenings/weekends
• Weeknight call required 2-3 nights within a 6-week rotation (11p-7a)
• Weekend call required from 7p Friday in 12-hour increments until 7a Monday
• On-call rotation required for holidays to fill coverage gaps
• Call response time of 30 minutes required
• No floating required
