Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a CVICU night shift position requiring 3 years of ICU/CVICU experience and ACLS/NIH certifications.
Details
- positioned within a 27-bed Cardiac Care unit specializing in Cardiac/CVICU care
- Patient population includes cardiac and post-op cardiac cases as well as medical ICU overflow
- Acuity-adaptable staffing model with ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4 depending on patient acuity
- 3x12-hour night shifts from 18:00 to 06:30
- Every other weekend required, working Friday and Saturday night shifts
- May be placed on call or low census once every 4 weeks
- Floating to ICU or other inpatient units as needed
- Uses Epic EMR
- Utilizes specialized equipment including EKOS, balloon pump, Impella, IV pumps, transvenous pacers, cardiac monitors, CRRT, and ventilators
Requirements
- Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
- Current ACLS and NIH certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of ICU/CVICU experience required
- At least 1 year of ventilator/cardiac drip experience required
- Must pass facility Cardiac Rhythm Knowledge Exam with a score of 90% or higher
- Cardiac ICU and/or step-down/progressive care experience preferred
- Prior critical care experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care for cardiac and post-op cardiac patients in a high-acuity ICU setting
- Navy blue scrubs required for RNs
- Sweatshirts, T-shirts, and visible facial piercings are not permitted; piercings must be removed or covered with flesh-colored retainers
- Candidates should be hard-working, punctual, reliable, and outgoing
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted at a reduced bill rate
- Holiday coverage requirements apply
