Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Santa Fe, NM, requiring a NM or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Details
- Acute Medical/Surgical unit setting
- Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 13-week assignment length
- Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6
- Weekend rotation required, 2 to 4 shifts per month
- On-call rotation required, 2 to 4 shifts per month
- Floating required to all Med/Surg departments under the same nurse manager
- Uses EPIC EMR system
Requirements
- Active RN license in New Mexico or compact license required
- BLS certification via AHA required
- BSN preferred
- 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administers medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Assesses learning needs and educates patients, families, and caregivers
- Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Grey scrubs required as part of dress code
- Full time work type
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel pay rate
- Previous non-travel employment at any CHRISTUS facility requires a 6-month separation period before starting a travel assignment at this location
