Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring NM or compact RN licensure and Level 3 Trauma experience.
Details
- Emergency Department in a Level 3 Trauma facility
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Night shift, 6:30pm-7am
- Floating required, typically to the ICU based on scope and experience
- EMR system used is MedHost (EDIS)
- 6-week scheduling blocks with a maximum of 1 RTO request per schedule
Requirements
- Active RN license (NM or Compact)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC
- NRP certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Valid driver's license and US SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide shift accountability for Emergency Room patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
- Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgement, and leadership in planning safe patient care delivery
- Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
- Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
- Administer medications and monitor for side effects
- Full uniform required, no specific scrub color designated
- Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers, which may take several weeks to process
- RTO requests must be less than 1 week in duration
- One Summer and one Winter holiday coverage required, dependent on department needs
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
