Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring NM or compact RN licensure and Level 3 Trauma experience.

Details

• Emergency Department in a Level 3 Trauma facility
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Night shift, 6:30pm-7am
• Floating required, typically to the ICU based on scope and experience
• EMR system used is MedHost (EDIS)
• 6-week scheduling blocks with a maximum of 1 RTO request per schedule

Requirements

• Active RN license (NM or Compact)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC
• NRP certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Valid driver's license and US SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide shift accountability for Emergency Room patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgement, and leadership in planning safe patient care delivery
• Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects
• Full uniform required, no specific scrub color designated
• Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers, which may take several weeks to process
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week in duration
• One Summer and one Winter holiday coverage required, dependent on department needs
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
