Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Tele position requiring 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience and a valid DC RN license.
Details
- Work in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
- 3x12hr day shifts
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week assignment length
- Cerner EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license (DC) required, no pending licenses accepted
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA only)
- 2 years of Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required
- 2 years of RN experience required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- BSN highly desired
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Two manager or supervisor references required, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
Additional Information
- Deliver competent, capable, and efficient patient care across the lifespan
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, including review of systems, with appropriate documentation
- Complete admission assessments within established policy timeframes
- Determine appropriate nursing needs based on patient assessment findings
- Must reside within 50 miles of the facility
- No local candidates accepted within the radius requirement
