Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of Cath Lab experience and RCIS certification for an acute care cardiac catheterization lab.

Details

  • Acute care Cardiac Cath Lab setting with 4 procedure suites
  • Average of 10-15 cases per day
  • Patient population includes interventional cardiology, structural heart, and peripheral vascular cases
  • EP and IR are separate departments, though techs may float between them on occasion based on census
  • Uses Epic and Merge systems
  • Cases are typically scheduled from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with on-call coverage 24/7
  • 4x10 or 5x8 shift schedules with call requirements
  • Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call required with a 30-minute response time
  • Schedule is created by the department supervisor

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification via CCI required
  • License required if applicable
  • Must demonstrate competence and prior hands-on experience in Cath Lab procedures
  • Experience with Epic EMR

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include scrubbing in and monitoring during procedures
  • 3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation provided
  • Scrubs are provided
  • May float to other procedural areas on occasion based on census needs
