Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of Cath Lab experience and RCIS certification for an acute care cardiac catheterization lab.

Details

Acute care Cardiac Cath Lab setting with 4 procedure suites
Average of 10-15 cases per day
Patient population includes interventional cardiology, structural heart, and peripheral vascular cases
EP and IR are separate departments, though techs may float between them on occasion based on census
Uses Epic and Merge systems
Cases are typically scheduled from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with on-call coverage 24/7
4x10 or 5x8 shift schedules with call requirements
Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call required with a 30-minute response time
Schedule is created by the department supervisor

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab required
Current BLS and ACLS certification required
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification via CCI required
License required if applicable
Must demonstrate competence and prior hands-on experience in Cath Lab procedures
Experience with Epic EMR

Additional Information

Responsibilities include scrubbing in and monitoring during procedures
3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation provided
Scrubs are provided
May float to other procedural areas on occasion based on census needs
