Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring a KY or compact RN license and 2 years of acute inpatient tele experience.
Details
- 25-bed Urology/Colorectal unit with a 5-6:1 patient ratio
- Night shift, 6:45pm-7:15am, every other weekend required
- 3x12-hour shifts per week, 36 hours weekly
- Uses Epic EMR
- Cares for patients with bladder/colon resections, TURPs, and amputations
- Administers IV antibiotics, pain meds, HTN meds, and anticoagulants
- Uses IV pumps, walkers, and gait belts
- RN reads and titrates telemetry
Requirements
- Active RN license (KY or Compact) currently in hand
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care inpatient telemetry RN experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Perform patient assessments, care planning, and evaluation of clinical interventions
- Provide patient and family education throughout stay and at discharge
- Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and serve as a mentor/preceptor
- Promote teamwork, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance
