Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a NICU position requiring Level II-III NICU experience and NRP certification.
Details
- Work in a 41-bed NICU within the Women's Services department
- Staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 9+ RNs per shift
- Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, and rarely 1:4
- Equipment used includes HFOV, central lines, conventional vents, CPAP, and NIPPV
- Provides ostomy care and respiratory support for neonatal patients
- Performs surgeries excluding head and heart procedures, and MicroPreemie care
- EMR systems used are CPN and Meditech
- Day shift schedule from 7A-7P
- 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
- No on-call requirements
- Floating to the Nursery unit required
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and NRP (Advanced 9th Edition) certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent NICU experience required
- Level II-III NICU experience required
- Level III-IV NICU experience preferred
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care to neonatal patients including MicroPreemies requiring respiratory support and surgical intervention
- Work within a teamwork-oriented unit culture
- Royal Blue scrub color required
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates will not be considered
