Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit position requiring Cardiac Step Down experience and vasoactive drip management skills.
Details
- Work in the Medical Surgical/Cardiac Step Down Unit
- 12-hour shifts on a day/night rotation (0700-1930 or 1900-0730) within a 6-week block
- Straight night shifts may be considered for interested candidates
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend and holiday shift required, with straight weekend schedules welcomed
- On-call is voluntary
Requirements
- Active RN license (SD or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Cardiac Step Down experience required
- Ability to run vasoactive drips including nitro, levo, neo, and anti-arrhythmic medications, as well as cleviprex
- Experience with BiPAP, chest tube management, and telemetry monitoring required
- No previous permanent employment with Avera or Sanford health systems allowed
Additional Information
- Provide cardiac step-down level nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and vasoactive medication management
- Blocked scheduling and specific scheduling requests are not accommodated
