Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Oncology Infusion (Chemo) position requiring chemo infusion experience and IN or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Acute care setting in a busy oncology infusion (chemo) unit
- Uses Cerner EMR and Intellidose (TxM) for chemotherapy administration
- Day shift schedule: Monday through Thursday 7:30am-5pm and Friday 7am-noon
- Some flexibility with hours may be needed based on patient treatment schedules
- 40 hours per week
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license required
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
- Chemotherapy certification preferred; chemo infusion experience required
- Cerner and Intellidose (TxM) experience strongly preferred
- Skilled in port access and peripheral IV access for lab draws and infusions
Additional Information
- Responsible for assessing patients before IV treatments and administering chemotherapy and other IV infusions
- Monitor patients during treatment and respond to side effects or reactions per protocol
- Administer prescribed IV medications and oral pre-treatment medications
- Scrub colors limited to solid Ceil Blue, Royal Blue, Burgundy/Wine, or Pewter Gray
