Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN with nephrology or transplant experience for a night shift position at a Level 1 trauma hospital.
Details
- Work on the 6W Transplant Nephrology unit specializing in med/surg, nephrology, kidney transplants, renal care, and dialysis (dialysis performed off-unit)
- 20-bed unit with 1:6 patient ratios
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Requires working 3 weekend shifts per month
- No on-call requirements
- Agency and contract nurses float first per unit policy
- Unit staffed with daytime unit secretary, PCTs, and a unit educator
- Documentation completed in Meditech
- Virtual nurse supports patient admissions, allowing bedside nurses to focus on other patients
Requirements
- Active RN license (MO or Compact)
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in med/surg, nephrology, or related specialty
- ADN required
- No gaps in work history of 90+ days within the past 12 months
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Two professional references required for Missouri placements
Additional Information
- Provide med/surg nursing care to patients with nephrology and kidney transplant needs
- Level 1 trauma facility
- Royal blue scrubs required; black scrub pants permitted
- Unit recognized with a 'We show up' teamwork award
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
