Description

American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a hospital assignment requiring EFM certification and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

  • Hospital-based Perinatal/Labor and Delivery unit
  • 13-week assignment, full time
  • Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Requirements

  • Active RN license in Texas or compact required
  • Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NRP
  • Current NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN Intermediate FHM certification required
  • BSN preferred
  • 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery preferred
  • Perinatal RN Residency or recent Perinatal setting experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide nursing care using the full nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
  • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
  • Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
  • Provide patient and family education, identifying learning needs and available resources
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
  • Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees must have a 6-month separation before starting a travel assignment
