Description

American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a hospital assignment requiring EFM certification and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

Hospital-based Perinatal/Labor and Delivery unit
13-week assignment, full time
Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Requirements

Active RN license in Texas or compact required
Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NRP
Current NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN Intermediate FHM certification required
BSN preferred
1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery preferred
Perinatal RN Residency or recent Perinatal setting experience preferred

Additional Information

Provide nursing care using the full nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
Provide patient and family education, identifying learning needs and available resources
Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees must have a 6-month separation before starting a travel assignment
