Description
American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2 years of trauma experience and circulating skills across multiple surgical specialties.
Details
- 37-bed Level 1 Trauma Center operating room department
- Circulate for General, GU/GYN, Orthopedics, Ortho Trauma, Neurosurgery, open vascular, ENT, dental, and Pediatric surgery cases
- Experience with Da Vinci Robot surgeries
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 14-week assignment length
- Weekend rotation of 1:4 with 12-hour shifts
- Uses Epic EMR
- Float policy of 25 miles between facilities as needed
Requirements
- Active RN license (Maine or Compact) required
- BLS certification required (AHA certification must be completed prior to start if submitted with non-AHA certification)
- Minimum 2 years of Trauma experience required
- Minimum 2 years of OR circulating experience required
- Charge RN experience a plus
- Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references required
Additional Information
- Circulate operating room cases across multiple surgical specialties in a Level 1 Trauma Center
- Candidates should be flexible, accountable, team-oriented, and punctual
- Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local and not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
- Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during consideration
- RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at manager's discretion
- Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage are prohibited while on the unit
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
