Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with neuro-interventional experience for a Special Procedures unit at a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Details

  • Special Procedures/IR unit with 5 procedure labs
  • 1-2 RNs and 1-2 techs staffed per case depending on complexity
  • 1:4 patient ratio in holding, depending on acuity
  • GE imaging equipment used
  • MacLab and Meditech documentation systems
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Monthly call burden goal of less than 15 hours, must arrive within 30 minutes when called in
  • Float as needed within clinical scope

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • RCIS or other procedural/cardiology-centered certification
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Vascular IR procedural experience with knowledge of Cath Lab/IR protocols and procedures
  • Neuro-interventional experience required
  • Strong communication skills
  • CVT, ARRT, or RCIS preferred
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • Perform full scope of interventional radiology procedures including structural interventions (TAVR, Mitraclip), carotid stenting, peripheral arterial cases, and lumbar punctures
  • Unit is part of a Level 1 Trauma Center and recognized as a top HCA stroke center
  • Daily huddle calls with emphasis on strong relationships between director, staff, and patients
  • Surgical scrubs provided by the unit
  • 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates will not be considered

I worked in the Respiratory department. The Respiratory manager Alex was a fantastic woman. She does all the on boarding education and she’s your number one person to call for any clinical information scheduling information. She was fantastic.

They need to upgrade their RT equipment and their charting system
