Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Level II-III NICU position on night shift requiring at least 1 year of NICU experience and NRP certification.
Details
- NICU unit within Women's Services in a hospital setting
- 41-bed unit with approximately 60 staff, including 9+ RNs and a charge nurse per shift
- Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, and rarely 1:4
- Equipment used includes HFOV, central lines, conventional ventilators, CPAP, NIPPV, and ostomy care supplies
- EMR systems used are CPN and Meditech
- Night shift schedule from 7PM to 7AM
- 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required to the Nursery
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or compact) required
- BLS and NRP (Advanced 9th Edition) certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent NICU experience required
- Level II-III NICU experience required
- Level III-IV NICU experience preferred
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)
Additional Information
- Provide care for NICU patients including those requiring surgery (excluding head/heart procedures), respiratory support, and micro-preemie care
- Team-oriented personality is a strong fit for this unit
- Scrub color/attire is royal blue
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- No local candidates will be considered
