Description

American Traveler is hiring a Level III NICU RN with experience managing central lines and intubated neonates for a 13-week travel assignment in Dallas, TX.

Details

• Level III NICU with 108 beds
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:4
• Unit staffed with RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and Nurse Externs
• Equipment includes nasal cannula, bubble CPAP, vents, oscillators, IV pumps, NIRS, warmers, and isolettes
• Documentation systems: CPN and Meditech
• Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week, 7A-7P, with rotating weekends and holidays
• Floating required to PICU, Pediatrics, and CICU for patients under 2 years, with contract staff floating before core staff
• Unit performs central line insertions, circumcisions, exploratory laps, gastroschisis reductions, and PDA ligations

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Level III NICU experience required
• Experience with preemies 28 weeks and above required
• Experience managing central lines and respiratory management up to and including intubated patients required
• Experience with surgical patients, cardiac patients, trach infants, and broviacs preferred
• Experience with infants under 27 weeks preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct care to critically ill neonates including surgical and cardiac patients
• Royal blue scrubs required as part of the dress code
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
