Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position in a Cardiovascular Care Unit requiring CO or compact RN licensure and telemetry experience.

Details

• Cardiovascular Care Unit setting within a hospital
• 32-bed unit with average patient ratios of 3-5 depending on acuity and shift
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 1900-0730
• Weekend requirement of up to 8 shifts within an 8-week period, typically 5-6 shifts
• No scheduled on-call shifts, though may be placed on call at the start of a shift if not needed
• Floating to other departments required based on business need and date
• Uses Epic for documentation and UKG Pro/Kronos for timekeeping and scheduling
• 13-week contract length

Requirements

• Active RN license, CO state or compact license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA) required, not expiring prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry or higher-acuity nursing experience required
• EKG competency and rhythm interpretation skills required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care including health teaching and counseling
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, referring patients for further evaluation as needed
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for this travel assignment
