Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Home Health position on Hawai'i Island, requiring 1 year of home health experience and OASIS documentation proficiency.
Details
- Home Health setting serving adult patients on Hawai'i Island
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 25 units productivity per week required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Occasional floating to cover Oahu, Maui, and/or Kauai may be required, with float expenses paid
- Uses OASIS charting system
Requirements
- Active HI RN license required in-hand at time of consideration
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 1 year of Home Health nursing experience required
- Minimum 3 months of OASIS documentation experience required
- Skilled in adult home health care including admission assessments, case management, recertification, resumption of care, and discharge planning
- Experience with wound care, ostomy care, catheter management, feeding tube management, and IV/central line care required
- Experience with medication management, pain assessment, and chemotherapy monitoring required
- Experience with phlebotomy and administration of blood/blood products required
- Psych home health, tracheostomy care, and HCHB documentation experience preferred
- Scrubs (any color) and closed-toed shoes required
Additional Information
- Provide skilled home health nursing care to adult patients, including comprehensive clinical assessments and care coordination
- Perform wound care, ostomy management, catheter care, and management of feeding tubes and drains
- Administer medications, manage pain, and monitor patients undergoing chemotherapy or hospice care
- Provide care for patients with peripheral IVs, central lines, ports, and AV fistulas/shunts
- Ensure infection control precautions and obtain vital signs during visits
- Opportunity to serve the local kupuna (elderly) community while working on the Big Island of Hawai'i
- MatrixCare documentation experience preferred
