Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring strong OR experience and community hospital background.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
• Day shift (5x8 hours, 6:45am-3:15pm) or evening shift (5x8 hours, 2:45pm-11:15pm) available with various start times
• Weekend and on-call shifts required per department needs
• Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
• Epic/Excellian EMR experience required for some positions
• Wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, orthopedic, cardiovascular, general surgery, urology, robotics, bariatrics, and neurology procedures

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of OR experience required with strong surgical background
• Community hospital experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Minimum 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
• Must have completed fingerprinting through LiveScan as required by Minnesota state law

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and/or scrub duties across a broad range of surgical specialties and procedures
• Utilize specialized OR equipment including electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and Hana Table
• Complete pre-start training modules prior to assignment start
• Candidates who previously worked as perm staff must have been separated for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Facility does not provide references to travelers post-assignment or to those who previously worked as perm employees
• Locals accepted only for radiology positions; all other positions require candidates to live at least 100 miles from the facility
• RTO should ideally be no more than 5 days
