Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment requiring GA or compact RN licensure and 2+ years of ER experience.
Details
- Emergency Department setting
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
- 36 or 48 hours per week available
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Preferred certifications: CPI, ENPC, TNCC
- Experience with respiratory care and ventilated patients
- Experience with medication administration including procedural sedation and continuous IV sedation preferred
- Cardiac monitoring experience including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Triage experience required
- Copies of certifications required for consideration
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of dysrhythmias
- Care for ventilated patients and administer respiratory treatments
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized at time of consideration
- No RTO can be requested during orientation week
- Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
- If one or two major holidays fall during the assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested
- If three major holidays fall during the assignment, one holiday RTO request may be considered
- Full compliance required to start on time
- Former Piedmont perm, per diem, or FCSS employees must be separated for one full year before applying as a traveler
- Travelers previously not returned to a Piedmont facility must complete one successful assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
- Shift and schedule as listed are firm with no alternate requests permitted
- Travel pairs are not assigned to the same shift on the same unit
