Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU/LTACH night shift position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and a SC or compact RN license.

Details

  • LTACH ICU setting (CCU experience also considered)
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30), with 36 or 48 hour weeks available
  • Floating to other qualified units and campuses may be required based on census needs
  • Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

  • Active SC or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
  • LTAC experience preferred
  • Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
  • Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
  • Prior charge nurse experience preferred
  • Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, arterial line care, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, and cardiac monitoring/dysrhythmia management

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing services to complex ICU/LTACH patients including those requiring mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and multi-system organ support
  • Weekly orientation held every Monday along with annual compliance training
  • Pre-assignment testing and completion of required training modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
  • Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any facility in the health system to be eligible, with reduced rates for those between 90-99.9 miles
  • Night shift candidates for select specialties may be eligible at 50+ miles from the contracted campus with adjusted rates for 50-99.9 miles
  • First-time travelers are not specified as eligible for this role
