Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Trauma ICU position requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Trauma ICU setting within a Level I Trauma teaching hospital
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 1900-0730 with every other weekend rotation and some holiday coverage
• Will consider 4x12 schedules
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floating required as needed

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical, Surgical, and Trauma ICU experience required within the last 3 years
• Epic charting system experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with strict passing criteria for adult and pediatric rhythm identification

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to trauma, medical, and surgical ICU patients
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, and IV therapy
• Care for ventilated patients including BiPAP/CPAP and high flow nasal cannula management
• Interpret ABGs and manage respiratory failure
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips and manage continuous IV sedation and paralytics
• Manage dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Experience with EVD, ICP monitoring, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury care preferred
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• Facility is a Magnet-designated hospital ranked as the top hospital in Wisconsin
