Description
American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a hospital position requiring an active CA RN license, EPIC experience, and at least 1 year of relevant telemetry experience.
Details
- Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
- Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Day and night shift options available (3x12 hour shifts, 0700-1930 or 1900-0730)
- Shifts scheduled Sunday through Saturday
- Floating required
- Weekend coverage required
- No blocked or self-scheduling permitted
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- CPI certification preferred (Blue Card from Crisis Prevention Institute required if applicable to role; online or MAB certification not accepted)
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant telemetry experience required
- EPIC charting experience required and must be reflected in work history
- Two supervisor references required
- Must pass EKG exam (up to 3 attempts)
Additional Information
- Provide cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response as needed
- Skills may include IV therapy, central/PICC line management, blood product administration, and respiratory support (BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, tracheostomy care)
- Experience with cardiovascular, renal, neurological, and post-surgical patient care may be required depending on assignment needs
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
- No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract is highly preferred
- All RTO requests must be submitted with a confirmation screenshot and cannot be changed once submitted
- Previous employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler
- Manager interview may or may not be required
