Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility position requiring an active IL RN license and at least 2 years of experience.

Details

• Long-Term Care unit within a Skilled Nursing Facility setting
• 36 hours per week on an 8-hour shift schedule
• Contract begins on Day Shift and transitions to PM Shift

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required

Additional Information

• Utilize the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members
• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per approved nursing techniques and policies
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by the physician
• Provide patient and family education at the appropriate level of understanding
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance
• Utilize clinical expertise to support the patient's longitudinal plan of care and resolve systems breakdowns
• Escalate complex situations to the appropriate chain of command as needed
• Engage in continuous professional development and peer review activities
