Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit RN for night shifts, requiring 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU or ED experience and a KS or Compact RN license.

Details

• 12-hour night shifts, 1900-0730, three shifts per week
• Care for open-heart Day 2/Day 3 patients with pacer wires
• Patient ratios of 3:1 or 4:1
• Float to ICU, Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and ED as needed with prior experience in those areas
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active KS RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU or Emergency Department experience with strong critical thinking skills
• Experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and self-drawn labs required
• Comfortable working without a vascular access team, calling own consults, and conducting own codes
• Must complete CBC, drug screen, and lab work within 72 hours of offer acceptance

• Facility is nicotine-free
• Orientation includes multiple days at KUKC and Olathe campuses, Director of Nursing training, and virtual Epic training
• Must work one holiday from each of the following groups: Thanksgiving Eve or Day, Christmas Eve or Day, and New Year's Eve or Day
• Accepts local and travel candidates at the same bill rate, except for a 60-mile radius requirement at the Great Bend campus
