Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT(MR)/ARMRIT certification and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Level I Trauma and Level 1 Pediatric Trauma teaching hospital with Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center designations
• MRI department averages 40-45 patients per day
• Treats adults and pediatric patients from ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatient settings across the full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnoses
• Uses Siemens 1.5T magnets and EPIC EMR
• 12-hour night shifts, Friday/Saturday/Sunday, 1900-0730, 36 hours per week
• No rotation between weekday and weekend shifts; travelers remain on the shift agreed upon in the contract
• No floating required
• Call requirement shared in fair rotation among full time, part time, PRN, and traveler staff

Requirements

• ARRT(R) or NMTCB certification required, along with ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• License required if applicable
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Good communication skills and a teamwork-oriented attitude

• Team includes a diverse mix of experience levels from new grads to long-tenured staff
• 5-day departmental orientation, with flexibility based on traveler needs
• Facility and departmental tour with introductions provided during orientation
• Travelers expected to assist with holiday coverage unless time off is approved in advance
• RTO subject to manager approval
• Black scrubs required for technologists
