Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring an Illinois OT license (license required if applicable), BLS certification, and Level 1 Trauma center experience.
Details
- Acute care hospital therapy unit setting
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
- Weekend shifts as needed
- No holiday shifts required
- No floating requirements
- EPIC EMR charting used
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Current Illinois OT license required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification required
- Level 1 Trauma center experience required
- EPIC charting experience required
Additional Information
- Evaluate and treat patients of all ages, designing individualized plans of care that integrate goals, treatment, and discharge planning
- Perform patient examinations, screenings, and outcome measurements using standardized, reliable methods
- Provide education to patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers
- Supervise COTAs and rehabilitation technicians in accordance with regulatory standards
- Document evaluations and treatment plans in compliance with department and regulatory requirements
- Communicate patient status, transfer recommendations, and discharge needs with the medical team
- Serve as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Travel partners are not accepted for this assignment
