Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring AWHONN Intermediate certification and a SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit on night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
• 1:2 patient ratios
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Responsibilities include maternal obstetric care, well newborn care, postpartum/couplet care, antepartum triage nursing, and OR circulator duties for Cesarean sections
• Provides respiratory support and resuscitation, attending high-risk and premature deliveries
• Floating required within the hospital in rotation with staff, with appropriate orientation provided per Joint Commission standards

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, NRP
• ACLS preferred
• Meditech charting experience preferred but not required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

Additional Information

• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates not accepted
• Expect to work some holidays and weekends in rotation with staff
• Minimal to no RTO permitted, especially during the first weeks of assignment; any RTO requests must be discussed and approved prior to assignment start
• Previous employees must have been gone for at least 1 year and in good standing at time of departure to be considered

• Facility does not accept candidates with felony background hits or licensure actions
