Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and SC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Provides maternal obstetric care, well newborn care, and postpartum/couplet care
• Manages antepartum triage nursing and labor and delivery care
• Serves as OR circulator for Cesarean sections
• Provides respiratory support and resuscitation, attends high-risk and premature deliveries
• Floating required within the hospital in rotation with staff
• Expected to work some holidays and weekends in rotation with staff

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, and NRP required
• ACLS preferred
• Meditech charting experience preferred but not required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Facility does not accept candidates with felony background hits or licensure actions
• Previous employees must have been gone at least 1 year and in good standing at time of departure to be considered for return
• RTO must be approved prior to assignment start, with minimal to no RTO accommodated after start
