Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least one year of experience and float availability to any hospital unit.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg and Step-down unit, including 3rd Floor Overflow
• Days shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours)
• May be floated to any area of the hospital

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma or Compact/eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Med/Surg and Step-down experience required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and monitor changes in physician orders
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products
• Communicate care plans and hospital procedures with patients and families
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as start dates will not be pushed
• Returning workers may extend a contract once up to 26 weeks total, requiring a 6-month separation before reapplying
