Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with Med/Surg and Step Down experience for a hospital in Oklahoma City requiring a compact or OK RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based Medicine Specialty / Med-Surg overflow unit
- 3x12-hour day shifts per week, totaling 36 hours weekly
- May be floated to any area of the hospital as needed
- Requires Med/Surg and Step Down experience
Requirements
- Active RN license (Oklahoma or multistate compact/eNLC)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills required
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care to a group of assigned patients with varying acuity levels
- Administer medications and monitor IV infusions and blood products
- Assist physicians with exams and minor diagnostic procedures
- Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
- Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines; onboarding must begin immediately upon offer
- Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer
- Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
