Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with a current NY RN license, ACLS, PALS, and Meditech experience for a night shift contract position.
Details
- Emergency Department setting
- Night shift schedule, 7p-7a, 12-hour shifts
- 13-week contract assignment
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Current NYS RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Meditech EMR experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Critical care and charge nurse experience preferred
- Must complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and become defibrillation certified within six months of employment
- Must become IV, medication, and phlebotomy certified during orientation
Additional Information
- Identify and intervene in life-threatening emergency situations
- Assess patients' clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs
- Recognize safety issues and safely implement patient lift and transfer techniques
- Function effectively in high-stress situations with strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate strong leadership, prioritization, and delegation abilities
- May be required to assume charge nurse duties
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
