Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring CA RN licensure and EPIC experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• Evening shift with flexible start times of 11am, 12pm, 2pm, or 4pm
• Scheduled for 36 or 48 hour shifts per week
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Current certification in Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM), TEAM-A, or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 3 years of ER specialty experience required
• Recent experience in ER specialty within the last 3 months required
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• No prior adverse licensure actions permitted

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care to assigned patients according to established standards and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care across disciplines
• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care plans
• Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and evaluate patient progress toward outcomes
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective care
• Provide education and health information to patients, families, and treatment team members
• Participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care
• Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
• Located in Simi Valley, a suburban Southern California area near Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered
• Local candidates accepted with no radius rule; local rates match travel rates
• Holiday RTO will not be approved
• Required vaccinations must be maintained as a condition of employment
